Vitiligo

Vitiligo

Vitiligo is a skin condition wherein white patches appear on different parts of the body. The reason behind this is that the cells that make pigment (color) in the skin are destroyed. These cells are called melanocytes (ma-LAN-o-sites). Vitiligo can also impact the mucous membranes like the tissues inside the mouth nose and eye.
