What is body filler?

Just like dermal fillers used in the face, body filler is used to enhance, contour and volumize certain areas, and correct any asymmetry and fill any hollowing or loss of volume. They can be used to reshape and contour the body as well. Dermal fillers are generally not painful, although the amount of discomfort you experience may vary depending on the injected area. They can be injected under local topical anaesthesia, and sometimes it doesn’t require anaesthesia as some fillers contains lidocaine. After procedure, you might have mild discomfort, bruising and swelling for up to a week. Body filler is also commonly used to fill areas such as ‘hip dips’ (a dip seen when standing straight on, between the buttocks and the stomach) which many women experience but don’t particularly want to have surgical intervention to remove them. This is where body fillers are a fantastic alternative to invasive methods.

More About Us
Body Areas for the use of dermal fillers includes:
1. Buttocks Fillers

It is convenient to add volume to the buttocks with minimal pain and downtime. Dr. Rupika’s appropriate knowledge and right technique, to enhance the buttocks volume with filler is one of the most popular procedures in our time. These fillers add volume and lift, and enhance your natural contour, help it to look more rounded and lifted and reduce the appearance of cellulite.

2. Hands Fillers

Filler can be used on hands, and of course, we use brands which are FDA approved. Fillers give back the volume for hands, help for a perfect hand rejuvenation and restore the appearance of the hands that are suffering from the result of collagen loss by plumping the skin and reducing the bulging veins and tendons of the hands.

3. Decolletage

The skin of the décolletage (the area below your neck and above your breasts) becomes wrinkled with age. Collagen-building fillers are excellent for addressing these areas and fuller for cleavage.

Fillers can be used anywhere on the body, they are appropriate wherever you have loose, lax or thin skin or loss of volume that you need to enhance it.
* How long does a body filler procedure take?

Depending on the areas to be treated and their size, this procedure can take between 1 and 2 hours.

* Body filler aftercare

Aftercare is very similar to having a facial dermal filler treatment. The area treated may feel slightly tender, sore, bruised or swollen for 48 to 72 hours. We advise no strenuous exercise, hot steam or saunas, baths, or very tight clothing to be worn for 48-72 hours, following the procedure.

You will need to return to the clinic for a 1- or 2-week review to ensure everything is shaping well and the area may need to massaging to ensure the product is settling correctly.

* How long do the results last?

Depending on your body’s response to hyaluronic acid and how quickly you metabolise your body filler, you can expect to enjoy results between 9 and 12 months. If you take care of yourself, eat healthily and don’t over-exercise, your results should last longer.
